Copyedited the Curriculum Standards Review, produced by University of Buffalo's English Language Institute for the New York State Board of Regents.  Responsibilities included reading for grammatical and factual errors as well as conforming all stylistic and design inconsistencies in a document created by a number of different administrators and instructors.

Special Projects Editor, LinguaFranca
1999–2001
Had primary responsibility for second edition of Lingua Franca’s Real Guide to Grad School (2001). Duties included reorganizing the structure and editorial content of book; hiring and supervising writers, copyeditors, and fact checkers; conducting historical research and follow-up interviews with professors and graduate students in twenty-seven disciplines; and extensive editing and rewriting of first edition. Also involved in supervision of design for print and Web editions.

Managing Editor, New York Resident
1999
Oversaw publication of Manhattan’s largest neighborhood paper, with four weekly editions and a circulation of 165,000. Duties included assigning and editing all stories for arts and entertainment section; helping to copyedit, fact check, and proof entire paper; supervising editorial and freelance staff; enforcing deadlines; and consulting with art department on layout.
